Time To Start Over

A lot of things have changed within the past 2 years. I was hired by a contracting company that works with my local county government as a Systems Analyst. Not entirely what I went to school for, but it beats a 40hr/week retail job(more on this experience later). Plus the pay isn’t too bad.

Nevertheless, this still brings me to transition from Systems development and analysis to software/web development. I’ve juggled many different languages, frameworks, and structures of code in my coding career. Wither that was from undergrad studies or just studying on my own, and no matter what I tend to always find myself drawn back to software/web development. With that being said, I’ve decided to also use this blog as a means to do some more coding blogging as I make my transition.

When I say I’ve dabbled in a lot, I say that at a means of me juggling more than I should have. I’ve been told many times that it’s better to be a master of one programming language and knowledgeable about others. I’ve done the latter as of late. All that is going to change now. I’ve enrolled into the Full-Stack Javascript track on Treehouse. Not only is JS what I’ve enjoyed the most in my coding career, but it’s what is the most challenging to stay on top up; which makes it even more enjoyable.

Honestly, I didn’t think this post through very much. At this point, my eyes are getting really heavy and I should end it. I’ll just finish up by saying that I’m looking forward to using Medium as the platform for this Full-Stack Javascript adventure and a coding blog to show my growth. Feel free to hit me up on Google+ or Twitter, where I’m more active for conversation.
